On October 30th, the first thing that was noticed was a huge increase in
the amount of life present in the micro-aquarium due to the added food
pellet (the food pellet was added on October 24th ["Atison's Betta Food" made by Ocean Nutrition, Aqua Pet Americas, 3528
West 500 South, Salt Lake City, UT 84104. Ingredients: Fish meal, wheat
flower, soy meal, krill meal, minerals, vitamins and preservatives.
Analysis: Crude Protein 36%; Crude fat 4.5%; Crude Fiber 3.5%; Moisture
8% and Ash 15%.]); this can be clearly seen in the above video where many
microorganisms are filling the space between the plants in the
micro-aquarium. Also the presence of a couple large nematodes was
noted along with a plethora of unidentified Rotifers (the picture above
and to the left is an image of one of the large nematodes. All images
and videos added on this day were once again taken from my android's
camera.
This image shows several mobile Rotifers and a filamentous algae that was largely filling the empty spaces in the tank this week. |
This image shows a large nematode present in the micro aquarium, the size is particularly notable due to the relatively small size of all the other organisms in the aquarium. |
This video shows several small organisms viewed this week moving around in the aquarium.
